SHOT OF THE DAY

Shot of the Day started as a simple idea: each day, I’d revisit my archive, pull one image that spoke to me, apply a few thoughtful edits, and post it to my Instagram Story. What began as a small daily ritual has evolved into a nearly two-year-long creative commitment—one that’s become an important part of how I stay connected to my work, my voice, and my process.

Every day since fall 2023, without missing a beat, I’ve returned to my hard drive—sometimes rediscovering a forgotten moment, sometimes viewing an old shot in a completely new way. Some days the process is quick and intuitive. Other days, it challenges me to look closer, think deeper, and reframe how I see my own work.

Shot of the Day isn’t about perfection or posting the “best” shot. It’s about staying engaged, staying curious, and keeping the creative muscles active—especially during the in-between moments when bigger projects are still in motion. It’s also a chance to share the kinds of visuals that might otherwise never leave my hard drive: quiet moments, experiments, or pieces of larger shoots that deserve their own spotlight.

Now, nearly two years in, I’ve created this page to give Shot of the Day a dedicated space beyond the 24-hour Instagram window. Here, you’ll find an ongoing gallery of selected shots, notes on the process, and reflections on how this daily practice has shaped me creatively and personally.
